Looking Forward to this!

We're counting down the days until the kick off of the Dynamic Duo series! Two Time Ironman Champion Craig "Crowie" Alexander will be in town at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, July 19 for the first Q&A series moderated by Competitor Magazine's Bob Babbitt. The event will take place at the Metropolis Grand Ballroom (111 W. Campbell Street in Arlington Heights - enter on Vail Street).
and:
But wait.... There's even more exciting news: Professional Triathlete Mirinda "Rinny" Carfrae will participate in the Q&A on Monday as well. With 12 Ironman 70.3wins to date, Rinny dominates the 70.3 distance and she leaves no doubt that she's a force to be reckoned with in the future. To learn more about Rinny, please visit www.mirindacarfrae.com.

Clear your Calender for Jan 30 9:30 pm

Help Spread the word! Retweet, reblog, tell your friends!
I just learned of a Benefit Concert for the Finnerty Kids being held at Peggy Kinnane's.
Saturday January 30, Doors open at 8:00pm, 8 N Vail Ave, Arlington Heights,
Local Talent Headlining: YRT, also Featuring (More Locals): the Greasy BOHUNKS
There will be a raffle and prizes, with a suggested donation of just $10.00
Organized by "neighbors unite" a community gathering to heal, remember and help the Finnerty Kids
If you dont know who the Finnerty kids are, they are 2 local children who were orphaned and lost a brother last year in a tragic house fire. They are currently living with their Aunt and Uncle, my understanding is that to proceeds from this event are going to refurbish the house in an attempt to sell it.

Volunteer Opportunities

Further to yesterdays post about the Arlington Criterium Kids race.
We are looking for some Volunteers to help organize the kids at their starting points, and to help hand out race medals at the conclusion of the race.
It would be a time commitment of less the 2 hours, from around 5:00 pm ish, to around 6:30 pm ish.
It should be a fun little event.
